PRESS RELEASE.......PRESS RELEASETV TEAM TAIL APBC BEHAVIOURISTAPBC member, Carrie Evans, is to appear in a series of programmes entitled ‘It’s a Dog’s Life’. The series, filmed by Tyne Tees Television, is following a number of people who work with dogs: dog groomer, dog walker, dog day carer, hydrotherapist, pet hotel owner, dog trainer and dog behaviourist. The programme will offer an opportunity for pet owners to see Carrie in action as she takes a full history, explains the problem and shows how to overcome it. Carrie will be seeing dogs with a variety of behavioural problems ranging from aggression to other dogs to chasing cars. Carrie said ‘I was delighted to be asked to participate in this ‘fly on the wall’ documentary as it will enable viewers to see exactly what happens in a behaviour consultation. Hopefully, this will encourage any pet owners who may be experiencing behaviour problems with their dog to seek professional help. All APBC members work on vet referral, so it is important that owners speak to their vet in the first instance. Occasionally behavioural problems can result from an illness so it is important to rule out any possible medical causes for the problem before the consultation’ ‘It’s a Dog’s Life will be screened at 6pm in the Tyne Tees ITV region on 23rd and 30th October and 6th, 13th and 20th November. For more information visit the APBC website at www.apbc.org.uk. |
