Location:
On your computer, anywhere! 20.00-21.30hrs GMT

Presented by Caroline Warnes BVSc MSc MRCVS CCAB
We routinely neuter dogs in practice, yet our understanding of how sex hormones affect behaviour, and the effects of neutering on both health and behaviour in the dog and the bitch is not complete, and often based more on received wisdom than good scientific research. This webinar explores some of the more common myths regarding the effects of sex hormones and neutering on behaviour in the dog and bitch. It will also touch briefly on some of the pros and cons of neutering, both before and after puberty, from the point of view of both health and behaviour. Taking these into consideration should help us make the most appropriate decisions with regard to whether, and if so when, to neuter for each individual animal under our care.
