Presented By Jean Donaldson, originally broadcast on 20/08/2020

Is there such a thing as over-socialization? What is “arousal” and is it a useful term? Should we strive to reduce or eliminate errors when dogs are learning? How should we curate and monitor play opportunities for puppies, and for dogs?

In most jurisdictions, dog training and behavior counseling are unregulated, and where they are regulated, there is usually not a mandate for evidence-based practice. This has resulted in fertile ground for fads to take hold. This webinar will look at how research on cognitive biases makes dog behavior practitioners susceptible to untested or demonstrably untrue ideas and practices.
